Dalgleish Catering has the reputation as Geraldton's premier caterer specialising in providing exquisite custom menus and impeccable service for meetings, conferences and special events throughout the Midwest region, ranging in size from five to 5000 guests.
Whether it's business or pleasure, a wedding or a special event, Dalgleish Catering delivers outstanding food, service and value matched with professional staff and management to ensure customer satisfaction through a successfully run event.
Owned and operated by Steve and Merrill Dalgleish, Dalgleish Catering commenced trading in 2002. Both Steve and Merrill have strong backgrounds in hospitality with strengths in management, marketing, training and commercial cooking.
Dalgleish Catering started, as simply as a wedding 'gift' for a friend not wanting to risk her special day to someone else. And it continued..... numerous phone calls and function bookings over the following days saw the establishment of Dalgleish Catering.
A Union of Mind & Passion - Dalgleish Catering initially traded on a casual basis as a home based business that saw Merrill coordinate bookings, client liaison & promotional marketing. Steve, still dedicated to his full time career slaved away in his kitchen to ensure their newly acquired functions were incomparable successes.
Within two years the passion for this new venture saw a Full Time Business Transition and the building of their first commercial kitchen. In November 2004, Dalgleish Catering expanded it's business to open a cafe - Us Two Plus Two - located at Centro Northgate. Us 2+2 acts as the catering company's shop front, showcasing the level of service and quality of food.
In 2005 - they built their second kitchen. A purpose built commercial kitchen (much larger this time) was established at 18 Bradford Street. The facility provides the company with a central kitcehn to receive stock and prepare foods. These foods are then transported to the various functioncentres that the midwest has on offer. Each of these venues then acts as a mini restaurant, where the team cooks the food fresh to order, onsite.Dalgleish Catering has catered for some of the biggest and most impressive functions and events in the Midwest West together with the most intimate.Dalgleish Catering were the Winners of the Business Excellence Awards for the Midwest Region in 2008, and the Winners of their category in the WA State Small Business Awards.
The long term aim of Dalgleish Catering was to diversify the business operations to include their own function centre. This dream will be realized in January 2010 with the opening of POSH Events & Functions centre. The new centre will reside in a fully restored heritage building at 214 Marine Terrace. Having the capacity to seat up to 330 guests opening out onto the magnificent foreshore.
